Comienza la práctica del boxeo profesional a la edad de 20 años bajo las orientaciones de Manolo Yánez. Siempre peleó en las 180 libras, a seis asaltos. Era una boxeadora de mucha movilidad en el cuadrilátero y tenía un buen jab recto de izquierda.
